Calcutta Mint – Milled Coinages – Silver Pattern Rupee & Half Rupee – 1793 to 1818.

Patterns for silver coins issued from 1794 to 1818 (although they could also have been patterns for the gold coins). The date when they were struck is not known. The designs are the same as the currency issues, but without any of the round dots. The straight-edged dots appear on the reverse of the single and half size pieces.
