Madras Mint – Later Coinages – Silver, Single & Half Rupee – 1812 to 1817

 

1172 sikka mubārak bādshāh ghāzī aziz al-dīn muḥammad. ‘ālamgīr (= 1172 the auspicious coin of the Victorious Emperor. Chosen of the faith of Muḥammad. ‘Ālamgīr). All within a raised toothed border.

ẓarb arkāt sanah 6 julūs maimanat mānūs (= Struck at Arcot in his 6th year of tranquil prosperity). A lotus flower occurs on the reverse. All within a raised toothed border.
