On Zeno Frank added: P R (= Portaria Registada - without "r"). No documents are available for this countermark. It is the explanation given by Manoel Joaquim de Campos in: Numismatica Indo-Portuguesa, pp. 131-385, in the Boletim da Sociedade de Geographia de Lisboa, 1901(see pp. 309-313) and signifies the extension to territories outside Goa of a determination ordering the recoinings, made by Portaria Registada no. 809 or Registered Determination no. 809.
