Bharatkumar Soni. Numis Khan wrote: Coins of Amjhera mint are very difficult to find. Amjhera, was a mint of Dhar state or a mint within the Dhar state. before Indian Mutiny. His last ruler, Raja Bakhtawar Singh, revolted against the East India Company during the Mutiny of 1857, thus he was arrested and blown off by the cannon in Dhar. The captured territories of Amjhera State were transferred as gift to Gwalior. Hence, the entire State of Amjhera became territory of Gwalior State.
