Comments from Admiral Sohal; Khan:

Ahmadnagar Farrukhabad and Ahmadganj did exist for a short period , till theBritish influence removed them. So does even now, a famous Pathan families town of QAIM GANJ, in Uttar Pradesh or U.P. and also small Ghausganj across the Ganges on south-eastern side of Shahabd.

Background: Muhammad Khan Bangash joined Farrukhsiar in 1712 in battle against Jahandar Shah, and after victory of F-Siar, Muhammad Khan was rewarded with grant of land on which he founded Farrukhabad. Same is the story for Qaim Ganj founded by Qaim Khan, another Bangash chief. Farrukhabad got added Ahmadnagar and Ahmad Ganj after Ahmad Khan Bangash became one of the allies of Ahmad Shah Abdali Durrani. These were the Bangash families. The other Turco-Afghan (not Bangash) families were Shahabad and Shahjahanpur founded much earlier by Nawabs Diler Khan and Bahadur Khan for subduing and settling down in that area on the orders of Emperor Shahjahan.

Note the clever names --pleasing Ahmad Shah (the new powerful overlord) and also broadcasting nawab's own name --Ahmad Khan, a standard practice on coins.
