From Bhandare, who said Akbar - rupee of Āgra mint, Khurdad 4(7?), 11.42 gm

It is well-known that Suri copper coins were counterstruck during Akbar's reign (mainly with the UZQ mint-name). Extremely rare, though, are Akbar's rupees which were manufactured by counterstriking Suri rupees. Since the Suri coins chosen for this treatment were of a larger size than the usual Mughal rupees, it is apparent that special dies wer...e made for counterstriking them, with larger and more ornate inscriptions.
This manufacture appears to have lasted only for a few months - I know of a couple of more pieces with Mihr 47 and Di 47. Although this coin doesn't show the last digit of the year very clearly, it does show the remnants of the undertype. It is a whopping 33 mm wide!
