From whatever is extant, I think we have enough visible
to make a reading. I am inclined to read this as 'Kotri'
کو ٹری ,
which is a large town in Rajasthan to the NE of Chitor
and East of Bhilwara in the copper producing
region. Akbar's mint Chainpur was located in this
belt and Chitor also was very prolific mint during
Akbar's reign. It is therefore very likely that a mint was run at Kotri for a very short time in response to an ore-source
