Aurangabad, Multan and some Shahjahanabad. Most Shahjahanabad
coins with full titles have a different legend with the part that shows on
this coin at bottom not top. KM shows
a Shahjahanabad 1069/Ahad with a legend arranged
like this coin but the dot groups don’t match. Although I have not seen an Aurangabad
1069/Ahad, your 1071/3 and the examples on Zeno show Aurangabad has the
obverse diamond and 4-dot group by manus and
the RY of this coin while the other mints do not, indicating this coin is
from Aurangabad. Also, other
fractional rupees are known from Aurangabad but not for Shahjahanabad
or Multan. |
