Aurangzeb's second coronation took place at Sunday 24th Ramzan 1069 AH (05-06-1659) at Red Fort in Delhi (Shahjahanabad). According to Maasir-i-alamgiri, it was a grand event where festivities continued for a long time to make up for the curtailed celebrations at the 1st coronation. Also, according to Maasir-i-alamgiri nisars were distributed to mark the occasion. The nisar would therefore bear the date 1069AH/Ry Ahd. |
