Moghul Empire – Farrukh Siyar – Tatta Mint, Silver – Type 1

 

 

 

Tattah - rupee of Farrukhsiyar, AH1125/RY Ahd. For a relatively short reign, the Tatta coins of Farrukhsiyar show a lot of variations. The first issue is with a unique couplet which is not met with on any other coins of the ruler, incorporating a unique title: 'Thalith Sahib Qiran' or the "Third Lord of Auspicious Conjunction". This counts from Timur Gurgan (Timurlang) being the first lord, Shahjahan the second lord and Farrukhsiyar being the
