Katak - rupee of Shahjahan, AH1050, Kalima type with Hijri (Arabic) month. During AH1048-1050 (at least), the coins of Katak mint appear to bear the name of Hijri months rather than the usual Ilahi. This coin has the month 'Rajjab' on reverse.
Also note the forked sword "Zulfiqar" of 'Ali in the 'L' of 'Rasool' in the Kalima, which becomes a constant feature of Katak coins. The sword is ostensibly a Shi'a emblem, and it is interesting to note its occurrence on Mughal coins, because the Mughal emperors were Sunnis.
