The poetic couplet reads:
مهر کند سپهر زر از سر افرازی
نثار شاه جهان شاه خرم غازی
Muhr Kunad Sipahar-i-zar az Sar Afrāzi
Nisār-i-Shah-i-Jahan Shāh Khurram Ghazi
(Made the stamp on the Golden Heaven with eminence, Nisar of the King of the World, king Khurram, the warrior)

This nisar was almost undoubtedly struck on Asaf Khan's order on or soon after 29 January 1628 when Dawar Bakhsh was deposed and the Khutba was read at Lahore in the name of Shahjahan. He is referred to as "Khurram" but there is a pun on the name he was soon to adopt as his official post-coronation name, by using "Shah-i Jahan" as an adjective for Khurram.

The reference to "Sar Afrāzi" (distinction / eminence) seems tad ironic as the issue was soon to be followed by the slaughter of five princes, including the teenager Dawar Bakhsh and Shahryar!
