In continuation of Jan Lingen's post on Rani Parvati Bai's copper issues - here is a Gold Mohur struck in her name. This is a part of a series which suggests she was trying to align her currency system to that of the Madras Presidency by issuing coins in a similar denominational range.
I have forgotten what the Malayalam legends read, but on the reverse there is AH1236, followed by Farsi inscription 'Muhr Zarb Parvati'.
