The legend within a square surrounded by a circle: al-sulṭān al-‘a‘ẕam jalāl al-dunyā wa al-dīn abū al-muẕaffar maḥmūd al-sulṭān bin al-sulṭān (= The supreme sulṭān glory of the world and the faith, father of the conqueror, Maḥmūd the sulṭān son of the sulṭān). One annulet in each of the four segments.

The legend in a double square surrounded by a circle: al-imām al-musta‘ṣim amīr al-mū’minīn (= The Imam al-Musta‘ṣim, leader of the faithful). Mint and date in margin:
