al-sulṭān al-a‘ẕam ‘alā’ al-dunyā wa al-dīn abū sulṭān      shāh al-muẕaffar mas‘ūd bin (= The supreme Sulṭān exalted of the world and the faith, father of the conqueror, Mas‘ūd Shah son of Sulṭān).

The legend within a double line square in a circle: fī ‘ahd al-imām al-mustanṣir amīr al-mū’minīn (= In the time of the Imam al-Mustanṣir, leader of the faithful).
