Coins Struck INO Mu’izz al-dīn Bahrām, Sultan of Dehlī (AH 637-639, AD 1240-42)

 

Coinage

 

A single type of silver tanka in the name of this ruler was struck in Bengal. Although the mint-name is generally off the coin, the style is mistakenly that of Bengal, presumably Lakhnautī. No gold coins are yet known of this type.
