Calcutta Mint – Milled Coinages – Copper Patterns for Quarter & Eighth Annas

 

Patterns shown to the Calcutta Council in November 1795 when it was agreed that the inscriptions should be changed. No examples of these patterns have been discovered and their weight and size is not known, although they probably weighed the same as the 1795 coins issued for circulation (11.64g & 5.85g).
