Bānāras Mint – Hammered Coinages – Copper, Pice 1776 to 1806

The differentiating marks on RY 27 and later seem to be a simplified version of those on the silver coins. They occur at the top of the obverse, in the middle of the word ʹālam. Coins with the AH date visible are rare and RY 49 is by far the most common date.
