N.B. A Farrukh Siyar rupee apparently without a RY has been offered for sale (Album list 197 No 363). It has a light weight of 10.89g and diameter of 22.5-23.3. It also has a different arrangement of the obverse legend and a different differentiating mark. It therefore does not fit into this series and is either from a different mint or a counterfeit. See photo below:

Bombay Mint – Hammered Coinages – Moghul Style – Silver Rupee et infra – Muhammad Shah – 1719 to 1748

On Md Shāh Bombay rupees the dots or symbol to right of the M of Mumbai varies over time.  RY Ahad and RY 2 have no mark like the earlier Shāh Jahan II issues.  Some RY 3 have 5 dots, some RY 3 and RY 4 up to RY 14 have 4 dots, RY 15 and some RY 16 have 3 dots, some RY 16 have 4 dots again and some RY 16 and RY 17 and later have a vowel mark.  This vowel mark was below the diagonal line of Zarb on the earlier issues.

The examples seen of RY 1 & 2 have a misspelling in the centre line of the obverse. The last letter of shāh appears to be replaced by letter d or r. Alternatively, the b in bad is replaced by an h?

1741 with a weak 4 that looks like a 1

All three photos from Randy Weir. Some may be examples of the numerous contemporary forgeries discussed in the records. Alternatively, on earlier coins the date and the BOMB may have sometimes been engraved by modifying a vertical line causing parts of the BOMB or the date to be weak.
